Think the most fun swimming complex will be this. However, the newly open Sengkang Swimming Complex should be just as fun.Jurong East Swimming Complex consists of 1 competition pool, 1 wave pool, 1 lazy river (or shiok river in wild wild wet), 3 water slides, 1 jacuzzi and 1 kiddy fun station pool. Take a look at the picture for the slides.
Sengkang Swimming Complex consists of 1 competition pool, 2 teaching pool, 1 fun pool, 8 water slides and 1 jacuzzi. Also, take a look at the picture for the water slides. Left-Sengkang, Right-Jurong East. I suppose the Jurong East is more fun as the slides are longer. But the Sengkang one has the 2 slides twirling around each other. See that, that should be the most popular one, never seen such a kind of slide.
Anyway, today morning I went to the Jurong East one. Only to be greeted with an overcast sky dotted with ominous dark clouds in alternanting layers. That blocked out most of the sunlight. When we arrived there, there wasa slight drizzle and then quickly to an appreciable downpour. Which nobody was a llowed to go into the water. Coincidentally, the 9.15 wave pool had started and when they allowed us to go into the water, there was only 5 minutes of wave left. THere was this pump on the top of the machine that generated waves and it was spraying out powerful jets of white foam. Then the howling wind made the water sprayed out go in the opposite direction, like diminuitive hurricanes. My brother and I went up all the slides. Yellow is 22m long, Pink is 145m long and Blue is 175m long, at least that's what I think.
It was cold so we bought a cup of hot milo in a styrofoam cup that insualtes the heat. Finally, it was time for us to go home. We showered and changed in the changing rooms and then went home with high spirits.
What a fun day!
