Finally! The summary is out for Freefall. It goes like this:
After Will, Chester and Elliott fell into the Pore, they landed on a humongous fungus that cushioned their landing. Elliott's bones were broken so they had to carry her while they did some exploring. Will was trapped in a trap and they encounted giant carnivorous spiders and their only defence was Elliott's rifle. Suddenly, the spiders were shot by an old woman who's name was Martha. She had laid the traps and took the 'spider-monkeys' back to her shack with the trio. Her shack had a garden with a special plant called the Aniseed Fire which keeps the spider-monkeys away.
Later, Elliott catches the fever like Martha's son, Martha's son had died of it so they were worried for her. Rebecca One then appears at the door of their shack and claims that she had been threatened by Rebecca Two to do her bidding. Will then took her in and locked her up, then gathering information from her and takes the Dominion virus and the antidote, which she had given him, from her. Martha then says taht there are medicinal supplies in The Metal Ship.
They then set off, into places where lava flows so close to the rock that it is very hot. Rebecca also followed, only creating more trouble. Then there was the Wolf Caves and a bridge where the Brights lived.
In a sizable cavern, they find The Metal Ship and got a glimpse of a Bright when they climbed up the ship. It was something like a bat but had a wingspan of nearly 10 metres. THey later see Rebecca Two with his Dad. Rebecca One then joins in with her twin to make an exchange: Dr Burrows for Rebecca One, Martha and the Dominion. Elliott then lights a fuse that exploded, probably killing the twins and their last Limiter.
Will and his Dad were seperated from the rest of the group and were expected to meet at the Wolf Caves. They then stumble upon an Underground Harbour which was built by humans. There were beds, food and even showers. Will tried calling his mother on the telephone but his mother did not recognise the number. They then see some boats which brought them onto a river. A day and a half later, They reached Topsoil in another part of England.
They then bought a bus ticket which brought them back to Highfield, Dr Burrows then gets attacked by on of the Styx's agents. Will encounters Drake, who led him and his Dad to his mother.
Since Will's mother already knows what was going on, she had to escape to another part of the country while Will and his Dad get to the Underground Harbour via the river. Drake and Celia(Will's mother) then made a deal with their agents to see their 'Mr Big' to make a fake exchange to threaten them. The threat was then backfired and Celia was taken away to the Hold where the Styx used the Dark Light to brainwash her.
Will and his father were lost a another void they called Smoking Jean where Chester's voice was heard and they were relocated. Dr Burrows leapt down Smoking Jean and Will followed suit to test out the 'zero-gravity' concept. They landed on The Metal Ship. Elliott also followed them and they did an 360-degree check of the ship for the virus. THey ran into the middle of the void and see breathtaking water droplets and crystals.
THe trio wake up finding a sun glaring up at them, it was
The Garden Of The Second Sun ( A pheonican tale Dr Burrows found out in the Deeps
), where there were animals long thought to be extinct, pyramids, and the rebbeca twins soaking in a pool. A fuse is lighted, killing the twins and their Limiter. Will, Elliott, Bartleby and Dr Burrows then stay in this heaven-like land.
