Ever wondered about another world, another civilisation or impossible landscapes beneath your feet? Then this book is for you. About 14 year Will Burrows investigating with his friend Chester after his fater disappears down an unknown tunnel. They find a secret they which they would never forget. Shall I tell you what it is? Haha, go buy the book yourself...Just kidding!
Ok, the story goes like that. Will and Chester found an entrance to the Colony through Will's excavation coincidentally. They decended down a lift shaft and found that, there were actually streets and houses there. It was a town, or a city. THen the get caught by a Styx policeman (Styx were the rulers of this Colony) and Being taken away to be tortured to reveal what they know. Will later learns that he was born here, and his mother had escaped to the surface, known as Topsoil. People in the Colony, know as Colonists, HATE topsoilers for the wrong doings they have done. All the pollution and deforestation...
While Will learns that there is such a place as the Deeps where Colonists that have committed crimes, severe crimes are Banished and left to fend for themselves from Uncle Tam, Chester is still tortured...
I can't seem to remember what happened next...
Continued in Deeper and Freefall
Reason for writing this? I just read the Second book of this-Deeper. Managed over 300 pages today. Did nothing but read and read and read. I can't seem to remember what happened next after the part I stopped. If you want a summary of Deeper, request in the chatterbox!

Jurong East Swimming Complex

Think the most fun swimming complex will be this. However, the newly open Sengkang Swimming Complex should be just as fun.
Jurong East Swimming Complex consists of 1 competition pool, 1 wave pool, 1 lazy river (or shiok river in wild wild wet), 3 water slides, 1 jacuzzi and 1 kiddy fun station pool. Take a look at the picture for the slides.
Sengkang Swimming Complex consists of 1 competition pool, 2 teaching pool, 1 fun pool, 8 water slides and 1 jacuzzi. Also, take a look at the picture for the water slides. Left-Sengkang, Right-Jurong East. I suppose the Jurong East is more fun as the slides are longer. But the Sengkang one has the 2 slides twirling around each other. See that, that should be the most popular one, never seen such a kind of slide.
Anyway, today morning I went to the Jurong East one. Only to be greeted with an overcast sky dotted with ominous dark clouds in alternanting layers. That blocked out most of the sunlight. When we arrived there, there wasa slight drizzle and then quickly to an appreciable downpour. Which nobody was a llowed to go into the water. Coincidentally, the 9.15 wave pool had started and when they allowed us to go into the water, there was only 5 minutes of wave left. THere was this pump on the top of the machine that generated waves and it was spraying out powerful jets of white foam. Then the howling wind made the water sprayed out go in the opposite direction, like diminuitive hurricanes. My brother and I went up all the slides. Yellow is 22m long, Pink is 145m long and Blue is 175m long, at least that's what I think.
It was cold so we bought a cup of hot milo in a styrofoam cup that insualtes the heat. Finally, it was time for us to go home. We showered and changed in the changing rooms and then went home with high spirits.
What a fun day!

East to West

From East to West, from Bedok to Boon Lay. All on one reliable double-decker bus. Yes! Prelims over! Got back results, OK, but I'm not going to say but if you want me to, request on the chat board. Then I went home to get ready for the trip. Handphone, EZ-link card, water bottle, bus guide, myself and the house keys. Walked to the bus stop and waited for 222 to come. Darn! took 20 long minutes for the bus to come, the waiting time should be like, 5 minutes? Another long wait at Bedok Interchange for Bus 30. Perhaps all the bus drivers were slacking, or just too tired. Another 20 long minutes. Sighs*.
Finally, the bus was here, after like 45 minutes, I could finally relax on the front left seat on the 2nd floor. Vroom! The bus went off. "Chugg Chugg Chugg", The sounds made from the humps on the bus bay.
Changi Road was one of the main stops, not that I went down but its just that many people got off and in. Geylang Road, the decorations were already on along the streets ate Geylang Serai Market for Hari Raya. The bus then made a U-turn and turned into Tg Katong Road, Old Airport Road, and Fort Road, where it went under the flyover and onto the ECP.
It was all non-stop on the expressway until Keppel Road Viaduct, where its main stop was, I think, VivoCity Shopping centre. Along the straight road, further down, was Pasir Panjang Road, under the West Coast H'way. That road was 1-laned and was beside the Pasir Panjang Hill. Kent Ridge Park, Haw Par Villa, Singapore Science Park, Clementi Woods Park. So many main stops.
Alas! Civilisation after the "Jln Ulu Sembawang" part! West Coast Road, Clementi West Housing Estate. The scenery was a quick change. From the pleasent housing estate to a smoking industrial estate. After making a loop around Teban Gardens, the bus continued to Penjuru Road, where there are lots of smoking factories as it is an industrial estate. By the way, Pandan R'voir was on the left and of West Coast Road actually.
Ok, back to it. Bus went on AYE and Jln Ahmad Ibrahim and exited at Corporation Road and went another loop around Corporation Drive and back to Corporation Road Until Jln Boon Lay where it stopped at the Bus Interchange. Yes! Over! Perhaps it was a little too long for me, 2 hrs on the bus hearing a stupid baby cry. He really pissed me off. Why can't his parents just let him have his way instead of going against it? Pathetic. Real pathetic.
Walked around at Jurong Point, harbouring thoughts of buying a new translator dictionary at the Besta shop. Over $200! I've only got $5, so Ijust spent it on Andersen Ice-Cream. Belgium Chocolate. Real nice. Then those people kept SMSing me, do you want to know who? No you don't. And I threw the ice-cream away after savoring the last 'bite'.
The last part of my journey was, taking the MRT home to Bedok.

Slack

Tell me I'm lazy and studying for the wrong thing. Tommorow's Science and I'm doing Engligh vocab. Is this the right thing? Positive: Yes because in this way I am preparing for PSLE instead of Prelim English, which is already over. Negative: Tommorow's Science and I should be studying for it. Those English vocab can be done after exams.
The fact is that I have just slackened at home, but at least I did some work. Work done: 1 HCL paper and I've just read the whole Science Notes on P6 topics.
At first, I thought: Why are we studying for prelims? Is it that important compared to PSLE? Am I talking to myself? Compared to PSLE, prelims was miles away, and I mean MILES. But prelims was a practice. A practice to what was going to come out for the real exam was essential. And this is a "rant" If you do not want to read it don't. I don't know why I always type for example 'The' as 'THe' THere's always another capital letter like the 'THere' at the starting of the sentence. It's quite abnormal. And should it be "XP" or "xP"? I lead a boring life now, but after exams, which is PSLE, I swear I will go crazy.

Maths Prelim

Haiz. Today's Maths was so damn difficult*, did the papar back to front. One advantage, the harder questions (the ones with more marks and lesser marks does not mean easy, can be harder than the ones 5 marks) if you do them first, as they carry more marks, you will pay more attention to them as you can concentrate better and make less careless mistakes, moreover, if you don't have time to finish some questions, the questions you haven't finished will be those which carry lesser maks.
THen there was one question the 2nd last one. That was the one which really racked my brains. I think it goes like this: Uncle Sunny had only Roses and Orchids in his nursery. There were 520 more orchids than roses. In July, he bought some more orchids and the number of orchids increased by 20%. He then sold some roses and the number of roses decreased by 10%. In the end, there were 2052 plants in his nursery, how many orchids did he have in June?
For this question, I used the most low-class method (not that im high classy) to solve it: Guess and Check. Lucky! Took only about 5 or 6 guesses to solve it! I think the answer is 1200? If I'm wrong, please correct me on the 'Chatterbox'. Thanks. -.-
*Say difficult to parents so if you do badly, they won't blame you, although some do, and if you do well, they will have a pleasent surprise. If you say its easy, the result most likely will turn out the wrong way, although sometimes it dosen't, and parents will scold you or cane you for doing badly, and if you score high marks, they would not be surprised!

Yo-yo noobs

Nowadays, yo-yos are the most 'in' toys, last time was i think Rubik's Cube. I've noticed that in school, 6/1, 6/2, and 6/3 don't really play the yo-yo. These are probably the 'smarter' classes. 'Smarter' refers to only Mathematics.
But I'm not saying that people who play the yo-yo are not smart, just that its quite boring. Everywhere I go I still see the same people playing the same tricks. I've got only 1 word to say: Boring. There isn't any tricks that can really impress me, though I don't play the yo-yo. Im not saying that they are lousy, but just that they should do more impressive tricks.
Watch this

See the way he overlaps the yo-yo with the strings, double or triple times? Thats the way they should be playing like that! Or at least a little like that. If you don't have this kind of standard, don't show your 'skills' its very shameless.
On the whole, I think yo-yo should be practised at home until one gets better, and not show off tricks that are so cheap!

The 'Aftermath' of PSLE Oral

We walked into the waiting room, our hearts pounding with trepidation. Suspense was killing us as we watched the candidates slowly disappearing outside. Outside was the beginning of the end. I mean that it begins that the whole PSLE oral was going to end in the next 10 minutes. We stared blankly at the pellucid piece of transparent file with a sheet of paper with an 'endless abyss' of words. Tried reciting it but we could only do it in a monotonous tone, afraid of disturbing the other candidates. This, was part of our destiny, our chance to strive for excellence and pass with flying colours, thus going to our dream school. The choice was in our hands. Do well, get good marks, do badly, get lousy marks. Simple philosophy. After 5 minutes, it will all be over. Exaggerate the passage, speak with more feelings! After all, you will not be seeing the examiners again right?
Phew! That signals the end-The examiners making a quick glance at each other and signaling with their hands that we could go. Silence around the school remained as we walked out out of the testing room. Every step down the stairs was creepy as the serenity of the school 'emphasized' on the sound effects. Down the stairs...all the way down to the first floor, not being allowed to stop at any level. THe swishing of the waterfall soothed our feelings as we walked out of the gate...

Food!

This are damn good stuff!
1. Lim Seng Lee Duck Rice
38 South Buona Vista Road
Coffee Shop
Braised Boneless Duck
Approx $5-$15 per person
Ate once when returning home from a trip in Malaysia from Tuas, the meal was URGENT but luckily, there was quick service. Food arrived in less than 5 minutes! Personal Rating 9/10
2.Old Tiong Bahru Bak Ku Teh
Blk 58 Seng Poh Rd
Coffee Shop
Bak Ku Teh, served with tea of course!
Approx $7-10 per person
First ate there on a cycling trip. I think the best dish was the soup but BEWARE of the 'spiciness' amount of salt just right. Very delicious! Just opposite the Tiong Barhu Market. Rating 10/10
3.Yuan Chuan Famous Lor Mee
Amoy Street Food Court, 2nd Floor
Food Court or what you call, 'hawker centre'
Lor Mee (duh)
$3+ per bowl
I didn't eat there xD. Went There also on a cycling trip also. Rating 0/0...+_+
Singapore's a food paradise so the best foods are not nessecarily in restaurants but in simple coffee shops! Just like Penang...

The Newspaper

Prelim Oral!!!!! Jun Lei changed place and created 'havoc' at That Corner Of The Class. Then he wrote this laughable newspaper, if you read and did not laugh there was a faulty lightbulb in your head.
Jun Lei-Me-Woo Hian-Me-Lorraine-Zi Jie-Megan-Winnie-Wisia-Darren-Ms Tan. And that was the end of the food chain. Darren told the teacher and all the 'passers' may be getting killed by The Form Teacher.
Anyway, the articles are:
Murderer of Pencil Cases
Your Mother loves you.
Benny Lava
Err, something which I don't know about article
The Legend of Bruce Lee

Hmm, the funny ones are the 1st and 3rd.
1) One night at 10.21pm, in Jun Lei's dream, Osama bombed his pencil case and thousands of eraser dust died, Jun Lei was very sad...
2) Benny Lava is a loony bun, most of them like the bun, sells DNA, and loves to defecate on oliver...
