Exaggerated Advert

Walking out of the MRT I hesitated. Hmm, should I go left or right? I've never alighted at Bugis before, at least never came out of it. I chose left after checking the map. Took the escalator up and found Albert Street Temporary Market. That was the second time in 2 days that I had been there. The first time, I went to my relatives' shop to help out and left my jacket, water bottle and map behind. *Sighs* I only checked the 'more important items' like: wallet, handphone, MP3. So my sole purpose to going there(again)was to collect those items.
I was told by the owner that they had shifted to another venue and had lost some customers. Another factor of losing their customers was because the roof was made of corrugated zinc sheets which conducts heat into the market, resulting in the market being sweltering hot.
Actually, I had decided to make this trip more useful and was going to the to Bottle Tree Park at Khatib. There was once when I was taking the MRT when I saw this park along the way so I thought: Why not go there now? So I checked the Internet for the facilities at the park before going to Bugis. Their website wrote that it had those facilities:
  • Restaurant
  • Pond
  • Kampung style Buildings

  • Basketball and Volleyball Courts
  • Mini-zoo

  • Obstacle Course

  • Paintball field
  • There were at least 3 restaurants there. The pond water was muddy, looks like nobody's been cleaning it for weeks. Kampung style buildings were just to attract your attention into going into the park, it was actually the restaurant's rooftop. As for the basketball and volleyball court, they were just useless and worn out. Do they really have to advertise about such minor stuff? I did not see any mini-zoo, what I saw were just fish and prawn. The obstacle course was rusty and tucked away at the remote side of the park(if I remember there was one?). At least the paintball field was still in use. But you had to be above 14 to enter, which is quite insulting for me. But I joined in the briefing with the other group and stepped on 'stray paintballs' on the floor. That stained the floor orange.
