I just saw this piece of news. Parents complained over PSLE Maths paper. Read it yourself: http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/1010464/1/.html
On the article, they said that "he got very emotional and started crying. He said his hopes of getting (an) A* are dashed", but that is only a paper. If you find it hard, others also find it hard right? NO point crying, it dosen't help, this is what I call 'plain stupidity'.
Another thing is that, don't parents learn their lesson on complaining? Complaining wouldn't change anything, let alone the children's marks. THe only action taken will be the MOE saying 'this is PSLE'. Another sign of 'plain stupidity'.
"They have spent months revising and preparing, but it's so much tougher than they expected. It really put a big dent on students' morale." Haven't the parents and teachers said that once the paper is over, its over. Nothing can change it: 昨天像落花,像流水,一去不回头。And when the studens have low morale, they will keep brooding over it and not do well for the next paper. If you still have a high morale, you will have more advantage over the rest. Reason being, most likely you will do better.
I predict there will be another 290 scholar this year, who shone brightly beyond the rest.
