"No time" to post yesterday and the day before it, so I had decided to post today, baout what happened on 'Friday'. Dominic, Shi Hui, Jonas , Zhen Yi, Lorraine and I had arranged to go to Amanda's house at Punggol Edge. I had been in a quandary, not knowing which bus routes(and MRT) routes to take. I could either take:Bus 222 or 14 to Interchange, take MRT to Pasir Ris, take Bus 3to Punggol MRT and take LRT to Punggol Edge or; I could take Bus 14 or 222 to Interchange, take 87 to Sengkang MRT, take MRT to Punggol and then take the LRT. But since Bus 3 went on the TPE, it would be much faster and without any further calculations, I chose the 2nd route. LOL.
Everything went on smoothly until I found out that the Punggol west LRT was 'not in service'. From the MRT to her Punggol Edge was quite a distance. Luckily I had my Bus Guide, which I flipped through to find that Bus 82 goes there too. But I ignored the 'quite-a-distance' part and started walking to Punggol Edge. Not long after walking, a Bus 82 zoomed past me. I regretted trying to walk there and waited at the nearest bus stop. 15mins later, the other Bus 82 finally came and I hopped on it.
I discovered that It was actually a long way to her house. The thick layer of leaves blocked outmost of the sunlight filtering through and there was no walking path. The distance between 2 bus stops was like a few hundred meters.
I alighted at the first stop after the bus made a loop near the jetty. Walking in, I heard cicadas calling and the occasional birds chirping. It was a truly serene place to live in, with sounds of nature engulfing you. I found her bungalow after a few minutes; rang the doorbell and the rest said I was stupid as the door was wide open. Then Dominic and Jonas told me to put my barang barang down and they asked me to go into the house. Outside the living room, I saw a swimming pool and the duo 'advancing' on me. Uh oh, I knew what was gonna happen next. THey dragged me into the pool! Soon after a while in the pool, I discovered that my phone was still inside my pocket. It was spoilt and I blamed them for doing that. I wrung my clothes and once again they pushed me in.
All of us were in the pool (by hook or by crook) later and we sprayed water at each other with the water guns. We also played Captain's Ball with Amanda, Shi Hui and Jonas on 1 team and Dominic and I on the other. It wasn't really fair as Amanda's team got the shallow end of the pool so it was easier for them to shoot and we got the deep end. Jonas and Shi Hui were wearing white so...
There was a ledge outside the windows on top of the pool, only accessible by climbing from either sides of the pool and we got 2 people stand on it and we sprayed water at them or pulled at their legs so one of them would fall down into the pool first. The 'last survivor' would then be the winner.
Zhen Yi came later and he almost got the same treatment as me, but he told the duo that he needed to go out and his clothes couldn't dry very fast. So, in order to dry ourselves, we went in to the concrete 'field' to play soccer. We took turns to kick the ball at Dominic, who was riding a mini-bicycle. Amanda suddenly wanted to go home and change her shoes. We thought that she would be coming back soon but she didn't. So we walked or ran back to her house. I was heated to the max and wanted to cool down so I went in the pool, again. Dominic also went in. Lorraine came and got tugged into the pool by Dominic. Wet people could not enter the house, so we had to dry ourselves outside while the others were playing the Wii.
My handphone was left out to dry on the schorching wooden boards and I forgot to tell you that Dominic's phone, which is 2weeks old, got into the pool and got spoilt. I dared him to walk on the ledge to the other side if I went too. He accepted the dare and fell in after losing his balance. But I succesfully made it to the other side. He started to dry himself and I sat on a wooden chair, soaking my legs in the pool. With nothing to do, we squirted water on the walls and windows, only to find out that there was a CCTV camera near the pool!
I went inside the house and found out that Jonas and Zhen Yi had used the gun to shoot at the fan. The darts had a suction pad so it would stick on the object it landed on. So they began to shoot more of the darts, hoping to just get that one down. Amanda then stood on the table and tried to get the darts, when the fan was still rotating (crazy right?) at breakneck speed. Another gun with a styrofoam torpedo loaded inside was found. They shot at the fan with the other gun until most of the darts had came down. The last few were positioned at an awkward angle or got stuck onto the ceiling. Amanda then switched off the fan and got a higher chair to stand on, thus being able to reach the remaining darts.
Amanda left the Wii on and we all went to her room and played reversi or chinese chess. Dominic, Lorraine and I went down the stairs and continued playing the Wii.
At 6 plus, most of us went home. In the evening, Dominic told me on the phone, "Eh, Amanda's mother very angry." "Why?"I asked. "The floor very wet!" LOL.
